Aromas of ripe pear and apricot, along with flinty, stony notes. The palate is quite rich, but with prevalent acidity; the higher elevation of the vineyards allowed the freshness to remain in the fully ripened grapes. Mid-weight and not as viscous as some its richer Alsatian contemporaries, this is still much weightier than most of the Northern Italian styles that have become popularized for export. Chill lightly and enjoy with grilled prawns or soft ripened cheese.
