Daubian Plain, Bulgaria
A classic Cabernet blend, with all of the earmarks of a moderate climate. The blackberry and plum you expect from Cab Sauv is joined by raspberry and cedar from the Cab Franc. The palate is balanced, with generous fruit, juicy acidity and some supple tannins. The nose has a a lick of sweet oak, red pepper and mocha. Serve this with seared Hanger Steak, root vegetable stew or enjoy on a cold evening by the fire.
