A regional blend of Bonarda and Barbera, from the alluvial soils of Piacenza. Bright and fruitforward, with delicate tannins and laser-focused acidity. The nose explodes with aromas of bing cherry, tart raspberry and spice box. The palate carries those berry flavours forward, but adds notes of cedar, red currant, pipe tobacco and strawberry. Medium-bodied and refreshing. Chill lightly and enjoy with cedar-planked salmon.
