The Obvius Giallo Oro of Salcheto is a raisin wine made from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes that are attacked, simultaneously with the harvest, from a noble rot very similar to that used for the production of Sauternes. It is presented in an intense gold color and releases to the nose notes of nuts and toasted hazelnuts, caramel and acacia honey, with details of aromatic herbs and saffron. It is sweet but not cloying, fresh and well balanced.
