A bright and nervy example of this blend. Raspberry, black cherry, blackberry and coca on the nose. The wine is mid-weight on the palate, with replays of blackberry and raspberry, as well as some sweet vanilla, baker’s chocolate and plum. The tannins are mild and soft, but there is balancing acidity that makes this quite elegant. It can be enjoyed as a contemplation wine or served alongside roast beef au jus or grilled burgers.

This is quite rich for a Muscadet, spending 14 months on its fine lees for added complexity. Fully phenolic ripeness. there are nuances of sweet apple mixed with bracing Meyer lemon and white grapefruit notes. There is some weight on the palate, which is rare to see from this region, but the acidity is still at play here, ensuring mouthwatering freshness. Pair this with a plate of freshly shucked oysters.

Granny smith apple, apricot and petrichor (the smell of rain in the summer) on the nose. The apple replays on the palate, as does the stony minerality, joined by some honeydew melon and pink grapefruit notes. A zesty, lively, thirst-quenching, “crunchy” wine for sipping as an aperitif, or serving lightly chilled with a cold cut picnic lunch.
