Since 2012, Katharina Wechsler has gradually converted her parents’ barrel wine business into a bottle wine business, which she has been running entirely on her own since 2017. Her wines are exactly what she wants them to be: precise, concise and full of character.
Her wines are matured in a barrel vaulted cellar in the historic center of Westhofen. In doing so, Katharina often resorts to spontaneous fermentation. During the aging process, the wines benefit from a long yeast storage, mainly in stainless steel. The style is best described as “elegant, puristic and light-footed”.
