Named for the poppies that grow in his vineyards. This light, vibrant, fruity wine has quickly become a favorite for anytime enjoyment. Pairs well with sushi, tapas, or simply chilled for an easy going refreshment.
These 60 year old vines planted at 100 meters elevation to souls of clay and limestone. Yield is 50 hl/ha. Hand harvested. Whole cluster, semi-carbonic maceration for 7 days. Fermentation with natural yeasts. On fine lees for a few months after malolactic. 4 months aging in a cement tank. Wine is neither filtered nor fined. 2 g/hl of SO2 added just before bottling.
Only 250 cases produced.
