cantina Kurtatsch Pinot Bianco
Lemon-lime and crisp apple on the nose, with a strong hint of petrichor and minerality. The palate is nervy and crunchy, with notes of citrus, Bosc pear and rainwater. There is a touch of stone fruit as well, but the finish is dry. Chill lightly and enjoy with seared scallops or a roast chicken dinner.
chozas carrascal las dosces blanco
An evocative nose of apricot, grapefruit, pear and fresh cut grass. The palate is rounder and a little fuller than previous vintages, with great acidic balance. The fruit flavours replay, but with a healthy dose of saline minerality. The finish is quite long, and this wine punches above its weight class in complexity for the price. Do not overchill, and pair with Pasta Primavera, baked white fish with a beurre blanc, or fried clams

les valentines miss valentine
Aromas of raspberry, peach and pink grapefruit. The palate is fresh and dry, with lifted flavours of cranberry, apricot, blood orange and a hint of residual sweetness on the finish. Enjoy, fully chilled, on its own, on a dock or patio. Or chill lightly and serve with tapas, grilled octupus or a Greek salad.
Coral duero envena tinta do toro
A nose of blackberry, cranberry, violets and a whiff of toast. The palate is firm and structured, but the tannins are surprisingly evolved for such a young wine. The weight of this big red (clocking in at a sturdy 14.9% alcohol) is offset by a good amount of acidity. But make no mistake, this is a lot of wine! Notes of red and black fruits, baker’s chocolate, pipe tobacco and umami. The tannins and body suggest pairing with rack of lamb, braised beef or a medium-rare rib eye.

bouchon carmenere-syrah reserva
A heady nose of blackberry, cassis, dark chocolate and white pepper. The palate is rich, but balanced with a good seam of acidity and some tannic backbone. On the palate you’ll find black fruits, dark plum notes, musky spices and roasted red pepper. The finish is long, with some hints of sweet vanilla. Chill to cellar temperature and serve with grilled burgers, BBQ ribs or a pepperoni pizza.
istar cab franc/cab sauv
Aromas of black cherry, plum and cassis. The palate is rich and refined, with some soft, evolved tannins and zesty acidity. The plum replays, along with cherry cola, blackberry and baking spices. There is touch of herbaceousness from the Cab Franc, but it is well integrated with the primary fruit. The long finish has notes of vanilla from the oak aging. Chill lightly and enjoy with grilled sausages or serve at cellar temperature with a pan-seared rib eye.
